BanDai Dorothy of Oz Dolls, Toys, and Plush February 15, 2012
Dorothy of Oz! The first of three CG animated movies, Dorothy of Oz is a new, seemingly delayed franchise in which Dorothy gets sucked back to Oz for more exciting adventures. You'll note the dolls lack the Ruby Slippers, because apparently there are issues with ownership of some aspects of the Oz franchise. Wikipedia has it listed for an August release, and the voice cast is pretty notable-- but August isn't exactly the greatest release date.
Plush, dolls, and a few playsets are in the works. Oh, and two more movies, as this is slated to be a trilogy. So if you like Oz stuff, here's more-- it's not quite exactly based on the original film, but it does take place after that story and is based on a book written by a descendant of L. Frank Baum, so there's that.
