It's ladies' night! Another attempt to raise their female client base, LEGO Friends is basically Polly Pocket meets LEGO City. There are scientists, shops, dress-up, boats, cars, all that stuff. These are in some of the big stores now, and you'll see many more sets come August as the line expands. LEGO has a big roll-out plan which, hopefully, means this line will last more than a year. (We're looking at you, Clickits... and Bellville... and am I forgetting one?)
The new "Friends" figure is similarly sized to the standard minifigure and can even share the hair and headgear. There are no licenses to this style yet, but I figure it's just a matter of time before we see Disney Princess Friends sets.
