Bagged! The LEGO Hero Factory line replaced Bionicle as the line-in-canisters, and now LEGO is abandoning the classic canisters for pouches similar to what you might buy pretzels or dried fruit in. It's a shrewd move which should reduce freight costs and packaging costs (cardboard isn't free, you do pay for it) and an on-hand LEGO rep said that the change actually allowed them to increase the number of elements per set while maintaining the price points. Sounds good to me! It also might mean packaged samples down the road could be tough to find in good condition, as keeping a bag nice can be even tougher than keeping a box in mint condition.
Like last year, characters are taking on animal-like influences. Jawblade looks like a shark, Thornraxx looks like a bug, and the good guys are fairly robotic. Nice stuff!
