This Glittering Galvatron is a recolor of Version 05 Galvatron [FOTD #3,010] but, as you can see, in clear. It's incredibly similar to the Hasbro Pulse exclusive Behold Galvatron pack from a few years ago, which is when Hasbro took their mold and did pretty much the same exact treatment. I'm always a little scared of clear, expensive collectibles due to fragility and discoloration. But with a $3 little guy? Not so much.
If you've seen Transformers: The Movie (or maybe some of the TRON flicks) the clear item with white lining may look familiar. This figure is in a good, deep purple with pink thighs and a matchhing arm cannon.

The articulation for this 2 1/4-inch-ish tall figure is still good. There aren't any real twists here, other than the eyes are now a silver piece inside the helmet. It looks good in most lighting conditions. The cannon on the arm is still jointed, and every single piece is a ball joint. Even though I've opened dozens of these guys, they still feel somewhat miraculous. American companies make figures that are rarely this cheap and certainly not this well jointed for the price, although some used to come pretty close (and some may come close again.) It snaps together in seconds. It's easy. Your kid could do it, and he eats glue.
Deco is very light, and the reuse of the molds with minimal deco probably helped keep prices down. He has a printed opaque purple crest with a couple of tiny boxes drawn in there, plus some decorative lines on the front of his torso. You can also enjoy one of the very smallest official Decepticon symbols on any licensed product. The arm cannon also has a painted purple part on the back, which matches Hasbro's figure. With the pinker thighs, Blokees made a pretty good looking figure that has just enough contrast to not look like a monocolor pile of purple.
If you hate clear stuff, this won't change your mind. I like this figure, and he's far from my favorite in the wave. That's a good thing, because you get 12 figures for $36 and they're mostly pretty good to great. I assume it's difficult to extend the life of a blind box line forever, but they're doing a pretty good job putting in popular robots and obscure figures, leaving something for a wide audience as the line rolls forward and daring to not bore hardcore collectors. It would be a hoot if we started seeing nods to Lucky Draw or other oddball convention figures, which we're sort of seeing with the various Shattered Glass guys. Maybe Blokees will do more weirdness. I can hope. This is a fun figure and I think I actually like it more than the toon-colored one, just because it's a super cheap version of an expensive exclusive.
