LEGO is all over the place with the names on these minifigures, but Hippie pretty much nails it without trying to gloss over some other culturally relevant title. The figure has a lot to offer, including what could probably be a great John Lennon face circa Sgt. Pepper and a most unusual long hair piece.
The peacenik get-up and flowers are a little paint-by-numbers, but the superbly long hair with a painted orange headband is certainly very interesting. The t-shirt has a fringe vest over it, plus painted yellow sleeves. A pink and blue spiral is quite colorful, and I'm not quite sure why it has purple pants. It does. Whatever.
Fleshing out a LEGO City with colorful characters is tough given that most of the men are firefighters or policemen. The blind bagged line adds gentlemen like this to the mix, which adds a lot of color to the mix of an otherwise increasingly samey line. I assume he'll have a lady friend some day, or a few more pals to get on a bus with, but for now he'll just have to hang around the LEGO record store or the LEGO art studio. As a figure unto itself or as spare parts for other characters, this one's a keeper.
