I had some expiring store credit - use it or lose it - so I snagged a blind-bagged figure. There were so many awesome figures, from a dude with a penguin to a dude in a penguin suit, to the fresh banana man, but what I got was a Spy. Basically a pastiche of every Xbox spy game over the past 15 years, Spy has big hair, big goggles, and a lot of black. I assume he'll be popular among those looking to fudge together their own Solid Snake.
"Agent A" according to his bio, this figure is dressed in a black suit with a big "A" on his chest. The official LEGO site says "His first recorded mission on file was for the organization known as Alpha Team, when he triggered a mind-control orb self-destruct program that toppled the evil OgelŐs latest scheme for world domination and freed his brainwashed Skeleton Drone minions." Well. That ain't a bad gig.
The gun and ropes fit in his hands perfectly because LEGO can't do anything less than near-perfection, and all parts fit together swimmingly. The goggles clamp on to the hair piece, mostly covering up the TED Talks mic on his face. You can't see it, but he wears a stern expression under the eyewear.
This is the kind of figure that makes sense for a blind bag - really, he can sneak around any other set you may own. He could also drive a theme quite nicely. Instead, he's here - with gloves, a watch of some sort, and some fancy pockets above his knee pads. The deco is good, and he's got a backpack that I have no doubt you will forget is even present. (I did.)
