My notes say I picked up the A/V Robot Glowing Being at D-Con 2018, and the Glyos wiki puts it at an August 2018 debut. Remember conventions? Those used to be fun. D-Con was a particular treat, in that it was packed with unusual things that tended to not have hours-long lines to buy anything.
The 3 1/4-inch figure has a monitor head in his package, but also has a clown-like face on a flat panel head and a video camera noggin. You've got some swell options! I prefer the monitor head, mostly because it looks a lot like a couple of open CRT displays I have laying around. It's covered in eyeballs, plus has a bonus Glyos peg on the back for more building or an alternate configuration. The details are sculpted in well, but glow plastic eats detail alive. It's just a shape. The same is true of the camera head with its red lens and the flat-faced happy head.
The figure itself is jointed in multiple spots with such great details as sneakers, wiring on the torso, a robot spine, and nice hands. One is open for slapping, the other is a fist for punching. The design is gleefully retro, and since it glows, it's right up my alley. He stands well and has proven to be a sturdy plastic pal who's fun to be with.
Long since sold out, this figure is the kind of thing you probably wish you bought or may be glad you already have. It's a creative design and the kind of thing you'd find charming as a mass-produced figure, but it's an indie design that comes around every once in a while in new and different colors. I'd recommend it to you in any colorway that tickles your fancy, and this is a link to his store with current offerings. There's a blue glow-in-the-dark model that was in stock as I wrote this.
