You can build Captain Jack Sparrow! If you want. The LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean toy line spans the entire movie series, so you'll get little figures of Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) in the Cannibal Island set alongside all-new characters like whatever the heck the Mermaid's name is from the new movie. There are cursed pirates, there are regular pirates, and there are lady pirates up for grabs, and the set packaging advertise a "Poster Inside" to (I assume) fan the flames of super-fandom that we got out of the Star Wars LEGO line.
Based on the new movie, Whitecap Bay seems to be a great lighthouse even if you don't care for the new flick. There's a light brick, two mermaids, Jack Sparrow (of course), and some other features. For those who just love Johnny Depp, it seems every set has a Jack Sparrow figure in it, unless I'm missing one. LEGO is making sure you get the guy you want, but they're all a little different to agitate the collector in you.
These should start shipping in the spring, and a video game based on the series is also slated for this year. May, if you want to believe the pre-order listings, which I can't say I necessarily do. (Don't forget, a new LEGO Star Wars game is coming too.)
