Advanced building! As a line, the LEGO Technic collection inhabits this weird space for older kids that, it seems, they grow out of. The trucks and cranes have intricate assemblies with tons of moving gears and parts, but for those who stick with the brand, they usually end up going back to a minifigure-based collection or forward to giant, amazing models of their own design. The segment still sells reasonably well, and this year we're seeing more great designs... if you're in to this sort of thing.
Among the items on display were an Off-Roader, a Mini Container Truck, a Backhoe Loader, and a Rescue Helicopter. Like some of the older sets, these feature "2-in-1" manuals so you can get additional vehicles right out of the box-- which is always a nice thing to have.
