They're back! The popular (but not super well-known) Outer Space Men action figure line is ready to expand their universe! Painted samples of tons of existing figures were on display, plus the world debut of three Outer Space Women. Mel Birnkrant's new designs for lady versions of Ohpromatem, Horrorscope, and Astrodite characters finally premiered in the third dimension. As far as I can tell, these sculpts have not yet debuted anywhere else. Each 3 3/4-inch action figure is based on the as-of-yet unreleased Terra Firma figure, who will be joined (at some point) by Jack Asteroid. Terra Firma is anticipated as a possible 2013 release, but Jack Asteroid is unknown and the new women figures could well be 2014 (or later) releases. Additional Outer Space Women have been designed, but who we'll see and when remain to be seen.

Colossus Rex and Gamma X were also shown with new accessories. The shield for Mr. Rex is really something, as is his gladitorial armor, while his glow-in-the-dark buddy has a nice suite of guns. Also shown yet again were the Mel Birnkrant Cosmic Creator editions of Alpha 11, Mystron, Commander Comet, and Electron+. Release dates for these are unknown.
For the curious, Cyclops, Gemini, and Orbitron infinity edition painted action figures will be going on pre-order shortly. Packaged samples were on display, meaning the long-awaited figures bring us just 2 1960s characters away from having a complete 3 3/4-inch set of The Outer Space Men and The World of Tomorrow Colorforms aliens action figures. I can't wait!
