Yo, Joe? After the surprise last-minute delay of G.I. Joe Retaliation and most of its products, the line has received a slight retooling. The action figure waves were mixed up, but a new version of the Tomahawk called the Eaglehawk is clearly the centerpiece of this year's line-up. That's not exactly huge praise, but hey, it's a big, classic vehicle. It's something.

The Micro Force figures (in stores now) were pretty nifty, as were a smattering of ultimate, classic-themed figures based on existing, albeit tweaked, sculpts. Cobra Commander, Storm Shadow, and Snake Eyes look pretty slick and are a great way to appeal to any newcomers while irritating long-time collectors who wanted someone new. Me, I'm happy with whatever at this point, particularly after how slow 2012 was.
Also notable are 12-inch movie figures, which Hasbro is rolling out across all of its licenses for about $10-$14 per. Each one has limited articulation, so-so sculpting, but it big and cheap.
