New York's American International Toy Fair February 10, 2013
This is The City. My The City. Of LEGO's three original big themes, only LEGO City basically has grown and matured with a few detours into specific things like racing and diving. Real-world play is pretty important, and this year we're seeing LEGO Coast Guard bring back boats, sharks, and surfing.

More or less typical boy's sets like a recycling truck, stunt plane, and fire truck will be joined by clever new additions like a museum heist in the police subset. The museum itself is mostly just a facade (and sadly not a collection of historical minifigure bits and pieces) but hey, it's a museum!
Video - LEGO City 60024 Advent Calendar
Rounding out this year's City collection is a new Advent Calendar with an astronaut, dog, robber, tree, a toy train, and some other goodies. These sets rarely disappoint.
