Castles Are Back! As one of the original LEGO themes, it's always a treat to see LEGO Castles return every few years! The new revival includes one big castle, a dragon, and a Forest Ambush set with warring kingdoms and a dog. Everyone loves dogs.

Just shy of $100 and just under 1,000 pieces is the giant King's Castle, due in stores this August. A working drawbridge, several Knights, a horse, and various launching weapons are in place so you can really storm the fortress if you're so inclined. The beast from Dragon Mountain might be a more formidable opponent, though.
Small coaches, crossbows, and other warriors fill out the sets without any of the realistic, medieval buildings we saw in previous releases. This batch focuses on stylized blue and red kingdoms, giving kids a clear look at who is "good" and who is "evil." Older fans will be satisfied with the sets they bought last time, no doubt, but there's a lot to like here too.
