Hasbro and Hunter PR joined forces to let us ask questions. Here are three of them, with two answers.
Question #1
The 2011 red HISS tank was shown at Comic-Con molded in red plastic, but at Toy Fair, it was painted in a rich, metallic red paint. Was there a reason for the change, was it not intended to be that metallic color in the first place?
The HISS tank shown at Toy Fair was an early prototype that was painted to look red. The plan was always to mold the tank in the red color as the cost to main the entire tank would have been prohibitive. When we molded the tank in the red color we were not able to match the paint color.
Question #2
Since the Star Wars team brought the Vintage line look back to retail for the main line, is there any chance of the 25th anniversary/classic packaging making a comeback for Joe in the next couple of years?
Unanswered.
Question #3
We hear some existing figures are returning to the line on new packaging. Can you give us a rundown of which returning favorites are coming back in 2011? (Have we seen the last of Shadow Tracker and Bank Robbing Destro?)
The figures that we plan to re-release in the new packaging are: Steel Brigade, Cobra - The Enemy, Cobra Viper and Iron Grenadier
