MOTU-Compatible Realm of the Underworld Figures from Zoloworld
Zoloworld, a company you might recognize for things like clear clamshells for carded figures, is now producing Realm of the Underworld action figures. These 5 3/4-inch figures are roughly the same size and scale as the original 1980s Masters of the Universe figures and their Remco Warrior Beasts cousins. The current batch is largely based on skeletons and Greek mythology, with nods to other figure lines here and there.
Via the Glyos News Dump: NiStuff Outlander: Full Reveal! The customizer (and sometimes manufacturer) behind Ni Stuff is putting out a new, roughly 3-inch Glyos-compatible action figure. The final colors are not yet known, but you can see a breakdown of the pieces and some preview shots of the figures on his site, plus other questions answered on a Glyos forum.
Ni Stuff previously cranked out Doctor Styre heads for Glyos (an original character) as well as NiStuff Terrestrial and Outer Anomalies, which we reviewed in Figure of the Day late last year.
Capcom directly will be selling the Mega Man 25th Anniversary Statue! Previously announced as a Comic-Con exclusive, this item is now up for anyone to order it. The statue features electronic lights, measures about 10-inches tall, and will cost about $100.
It should go great with the Mega Man USB Buster, which has digital copies of comics, art books, and other goodies.
After many attempts at getting made, the Legendary Monsters on Kickstarter are back up again, but have made their $6,666 goal with 33 days to go. How? Marketing. Previously it was pitched as a line of action figures, but now it changed its angle to being a tabletop game and raised its money immediately.
The first attempt on Kickstarted asked for $350,000, the second aimed for $25,000. The figures seem to be smaller than previous attempts, and the run size is going to be tiny - just a couple of hundred figures.
Over the weekend, The Outer Space Men News Blog posted this video, which shows a VHS-era pitch for reissuing the original Outer Space Men as well as showing the history of the 1960s toy line.
Figure of the Day has updated for the last time. Here's what you've been missing! Spanning from the original Power of the Force series of 1995 to the latest of The Vintage Collection, it's almost like a history lesson!
Today we look at BoShek from over a decade ago Go to Figure of the Day for the next update, with the last installment in our 2,034-part series!

Here's a surprise. If you pledge $25 or more on the OMFG Kickstarter, a Bonus Z.O.M.B.I.E. Pheyden Mini Figure will be included. So if you kick in $25, you get a flesh OMFG set, a black OMFG set, a black Pheyden, and a flesh Pheyden. I'm OK with that deal. Be sure to read the details on the pledge page.
Zombie Pheyden was originally shown as part of Z.O.M.B.I.E. series 2 at Comic-Con last year in San Diego. According to the October Toys forums it seems unlikely the remaining figures will see production. To see Pheyden and the rest of series 2, click here.

The very funny Anthony Jeselnik has enjoyed a successful stand-up career and may be familiar to viewers of the many televised roasts and his recent television series "The Jeselnik Offensive." The deadpan comic is quite skilled at inserting and twisting the knife with some of the best dead baby, rape, and mom-the-holocaust-denier jokes you'll hear all year on his album Caligula. That's really all you need to know - if any of that is likely to set you off, skip it. If not, you're in for a treat. [ READ THE FULL REVIEW ]
Lucasfilm's games division (formerly called "Lucasfilm Games") LucasArts has been shut down by Disney and multiple projects are either being cancelled or retooled, the full extent of the layoffs is unknown but word on the street has it that new games will be licensed out to other developers, which could mean better or at least more interesting projects should they go in that direction.

If you click on these ads and buy something (anything) on Amazon, we get a cut! Tim Mee Toys has a bunch of made-in-the-USA stuff that looks very similar to toys sold nearly 50 years ago, sometimes with very good cause - the Battle Mountain has been recolored and rereleased numerous times. I haven't picked these up myself but I keep gawking at them. I figured, what the heck, you might want to see them. Tim Mee stuff comes up more than I would have assumed as of late, although it's not as cheap as one might hope.
...I really have to get that Battle Mountain one of these days.

New Rocks & Bugs & Things Mordles Prototypes Revealed
Not one, but twoMordles test shots were revealed on John Kent's Twitter feed. Who is John Kent? He owns the rights to (and will be producing new) figures from CBS Toys'/Ideal's Rocks & Bugs & Things as well as Robo Force. The two figures shown are unpainted samples cast in red and are not necessarily similar to any upcoming products, and according to his posts on various toy forums the final figures will be painted differently from the originals. He teases they should have an extra bit of paint, but where and how? We don't know. They'll also be a tad, minimal amount smaller than the originals.
If you don't know this line or have never heard of it, that's OK, I don't have any either and am trying to secure some rocks and bugs right now. Got any for sale? (I'd love a Rockadile and Terrorantula.)

A classic you never bought, you monster! This Hasbro Xevoz Skull Jack Action Figure was born out of one of Hasbro's last few attempts to build an entirely new line out of the building blocks it began playing with from Stikfas. It's an amazing toy and was blown out incredibly cheaply, meaning old people will start paying more for them as time goes on. So read on, and come back tomorrow for more!
I saw this on eBay and had to share it. This Vintage Mexican Bootleg Masters of the Universe Orko lacks the "magic tricks" and quality of the original toy, but it makes up for this by being eye-searingly ugly.
The poor assembly, underpainted arms, rotten yellow paint splotches, and questionable molding makes this horrible item a bargain for the $4.99 plus shipping that it sold for. If you got it, congratulations.

Another two New Baby Deadbeet Mini-Figures Are At October Toys for $2 each. They come in gold (bling) and diamond (clear colorless), and will likely sell out pretty quickly. It appears there's a run of these to match nearly every OMFG series 2 colorway, so expect more as we go on throughout the next few months.
New! Pre-Orders Are Open for The Amazing Zectron's Kesh-E-Face for in flesh for $35. It has a removable, magnetic spinning head with 3 faces and will actually come packaged. There are some bonuses too, so be sure to read about those on his store.

Xbox fans, it's time to download Motocross Madness, a $10/800-point bike game. It's not a port of the GameBoy game, that's "Motocross Maniacs." Anyawy. Microsoft says:

This brings the total molds revealed to four so far, and presumably there will be numerous colors and/or paint variants. One can hope, anyway. While we wait, I suggest finding as many toys that can eat other toys as you can. I wonder if they can fit in the Action Fleet Rancor or Galactic Heroes Rancor's mouth...

The Glyos News Dump says: New Glyos The Reydurran Divide Drop Friday: Black and Grey and Red All Over The release will be Friday evening, and include a bunch of returning favorites in new colors, the new Swing Joints, and some surprises. Could be new stuff. Who knows? Onell Design are tricksy like Hobbitses.
Good news: Burger King has Jurassic Park toys in their kid's club meals. Bad news: it's dull. A couple of skeletons and a vehicle join a Raptor hatching in an egg and two other dull chunks of plastic for your lunchtime companionship. I don't get why they don't just toss in cheap plastic not skeletal dinosaur toys, I'd be all over those.

Something new every day-- unless it's old! Our exciting Figure of the Day continues for you lucky people! Is there anything we won't cover in this column? Probably not!
Proto-tastic! This Fisher-Price Adventure People Alpha Star Alien Creature is sort of a misnomer, as I look not only at the creature but a trio of "test shot" figures that spawned it which I found on eBay in the late 1990s. So read on, and come back tomorrow for more!
Coming soon! The Super 7 ReAction ALIEN Figures are on Flickr in all of their 1979 glory. Based on unproduced Kenner prototype figure designs, five figures were shown including Ash, Kane, Ripley, the Alien, and Dallas. Each figure will be about $20 and available in August/September, with pre-orders kicking off in July. They also say:
"Under authorization from 20th Century Fox, Super7 will produce the full series of ALIEN toys as part of our ReAction Figure Series (Retro-Action). Each is stylized exactly as items from the ³golden age² of action figures with approximately five points of articulation, accessories, and period-authentic blister card packaging."
Glyos Drop Menu from Last Friday, Banimon & Monkaa Updates
Another successful drop! The Glyos Onell Design May 19 2013 Drop Menu is at the Glyos News Dump. The sell-through was a little slower than usual, with most items still being available for 30 minutes after the launch. The first item to sell through was the bright red Glyans, which look pretty awesome in the pictures.
The surprise figure for this drop was a clear red "Infection" Exellis.

A nifty remake, the Hasbro Transformers Generations Fall of Cybertron Eject and Ramhorn set is probably in a store near you right now. Ramhorn's transformation is one of the best for these tapes, so we included a slow-motion video showing it changing. So read on, and come back tomorrow for more!
While toys seem to struggle, games on Kickstarter go bonkers. Take the Palladium Books Robotech RPG Tactics project, which has been up for less than 3 days as of this report and has already raised $295,000 of its $70,000 goal. Numerous special gaming miniatures, bonuses, stretch goals, and early-bird adopter extras seem to be the secret sauce in this surprisingly popular project. The lowest level at which you can get the boxed game is $80, and it's due around December 2013.
Because I (and presumably you) missed it, check out the 4/20 'Critters inspired' mini figure. The little multi-color guys were available over the weekend and, at $15, sold out the 6-piece run before you knew you missed it. Ah well. Maybe next time!
"Astro LP vinyl preorder (with on-line premiums) goes up the second Vol3 of the 7" arrives at Chunklet HQ. Stay tuned. (vinyl does include download)"
If you don't care for on-line premiums (posters, more?) or a CD or record, go ahead and get the MP3 download. Given the cost, benefit, and handy real-world copy I'll be waiting for the record. The CD is $15 shipped. Amazon has a pre-order up for the vinyl for $18.34, and at this time we don't know how it will differ from Chunklet's release.
Ad: The old Mego Batman figures are back! Sort of. Figures Toy Company has made Mego-style figures based on a number of properties for years, including KISS fairly recently. Their next move? Batman, Robin, the Joker, and the Riddler based on the 1970s originals, down to the big mitts on Batman.

Mr. Gold: LEGO's Retail Chase Minifigure in Series 10
The LEGO Minifigure Series 10 Mr. Gold Minifigure is a chase piece. While LEGO has done bonus inserts before, this is the first time they did it with the blind-bagged minifigure line. Only 5,000 are produced worldwide and the figure has some vac-metal parts. That's the good news. The bad news is eBay buyers are already paying just under $1,000 to get one, because they're nuts. Series 10 71001 is hitting stores now, with this as the 17th figure and the one you likely won't get. But hey, at least be happy that in a series with not-Xena, a lady in a bee costume, a librarian, a grandpa, and friggin' Medusa that the chase figure is the least interesting one.

New Transformers Generations Blitzwing, Springer Found
They're out! Target stores are getting Blitzwing and Springer from the 30th Anniversary line, which it turns out is just the previous "Generations" line with new branding on the box. Same assortment, new toys.
I have yet to open both as of my writing this, but I can tell you that Blitzwing is pretty frustrating at first. Some pieces don't seem to fit well, and the instructions (for those that like them) lack a back-to-robot conversion.
