Godzilla: Biggest Japanese Vinyl Figure, Priced Accordingly
Via NCS: Godzilla 1989 1/80 Scale Soft Vinyl Kit. Assembly and possibly paint are required for this 3 1/3-foot tall, 5-foot long $1450 vinyl figure. Yeah. That's bonkers, but it's time for a new movie and you can get away with things in movie years.
The new movie Shin Godzilla is coming to the USA in October, and showings are sparse.

Via the Outer Space Men News Blog: Gamma-X Glows Crazy at Star Trek Mission New York - On Sale Friday Online. 9:00 PM Eastern. According to the official Outer Space Men Instagram, they're pulling a case of these guys for online sales this week. They were sold at Star Trek Mission New York - a convention - over the weekend at $25.00 a hit. The picture here is a comparison between the old and new versions. The glow has been improved. I've got a sample, and I quite like it - there weren't too many alternations to the toy other than the plastic and deco, but they did seem to affix the clear cone better on the head-mounted blaster.
For those keeping track, there are four confirmed figures for this year and an accessory pack thus far. Onell Design had an exclusive Orbitron Diversus a few months ago, another figure is expected shortly. The Outer Space Men LLC sold Colossus Rex 2.0 and Cosmic Radiation Gamma-X so far, with Cosmic Radiation Colossus Rex coming next month as a New York Comic Con exclusive. 8 other glowing figures were teased, but no dates have been given. In addition to these, a baggie of glowing accessories exists - some have been given with figure purchases from The Outer Space Men LLC, and it includes Colossus Rex' shield, axe, and mace along with Gamma-X blaster cone and armor. They look wonderful when glowing.
Next up (confirmed) is a Colossus Rex in Glow for New York Comic Con next month. There have been hints that Onell Design may drop one or more Outer Space Men in the upcoming months, but those are often a surprise.
Via the Outer Space Men News Blog: Onell Design - September Drop Wednesday. 9:30 PM Eastern. According to the official Outer Space Men Instagram, they're pulling a case of these guys for online sales this week. They were sold at Star Trek Mission New York - a convention - over the weekend at $25.00 a hit. The picture here is a comparison between the old and new versions. The glow has been improved. Currently the Glyos/Onell Design glow plastic seems to be the best in the business - it charges quickly and glows brightly. If you are a fan of glowing toys, it's worth your while to pick up a figure or two and add it to whatever glowing toy stash you may own.

Shattered Glass Lives On - Masterpiece Optimus Prime
Via Snakas: Shattered Glass Masterpiece Optimus Prime. Apparently it's coming to Asia, which doesn't guarantee a US release although most Hasbro items eventually make it out here.
Outside BotCon and the Fan Club, very few "Shattered Glass" toys were made. Japan got a set of evil Autobots and heroic Decepticons using G1 molds of Soundwave, Blaster, and some tapes - and not much else. This would be the first Hasbro item outside the club to come from the evil mirror universe.

The PC version has been out for about a month and was slapped by Nintendo and shut down. But the game is out, and there's a Mac OS compatible version of AM2R, Another Metroid II Remake. I played the first half on a Windows box, found about the Mac version, loaded that up and then copied over the save file to finish on the Mac. It's wonderful.
New 2D games of this style are exceptionally rare, and Nintendo doesn't seem inclined to make too many like this. People love Metroid, but it never got the sales of Nintendo's other franchise brands. For that reason - and if you get why this site is named what it is - I would implore you to download this game for whatever computer you have and play through it. There's a lot of new story bits in there and it's a real blast to play> I started a second playthrough already, and it's fun enough to be worth your time. Which, really, is the highest praise I could give any game now that I'm an adult with things to do.

Sega Gives Unofficial Sonic Game Unofficial Blessing?
In another case of Genesis Does What Nintendon't:
Green Hill Paradise - Act 2: RELEASE TRAILER [and download link in the description]. It's an unofficial Sonic game, in 3D, that has been getting good buzz.
What's particularly interesting is that Sega doesn't seem to mind - considering what happened with AM2R, this is interesting. It probably doesn't mean much other than Sega's had a pretty lax attitude toward Sonic fans and fan art - tread carefully down that rabbit hole - whereas Nintendo is a bit more locked-down. I can't say I'm the world's #1 Sonic fan, but I can say I recognize that Sega has done a lot for Sonic's fans over the years above and beyond the games themselves.
I haven't played it yet myself, I hope it's as fun to play as it looks.

You recognize his name because it was on the end credits of an amazing piece of culture, Space Ghost: From Coast to Coast as a piece of the future (way back in the 1990s) wrapped in the skin of the past. Mr. Croker was an animator and voice on Perfect Hair Forever, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and other Williams Street and Adult Swim programs. He may be best known for his voice work as Zorak and Moltar. Episodes of Space Ghost are hard to find in an official capacity, but the channel aired a few last night - and also, you are on the internet and know how Google works. You should check it out. I particularly recommend "Kentucky Nightmare" and "Yorke and Bjrk in: Knifin' Around." Along with Mr. Show, this is one of those things from the 1990s that, I hope, sincerely, you watch when the chance comes up.

Adult Swim Streams all most of Space Ghost for Free
Via Adult Swim: Adult Swim is streaming most of Space Ghost Coast to Coast. Not everything is up, but a lot of it is there for you to watch all night long for free. If there's a better way to pay tribute to the works of one C. Martin Croker, I have yet to see it.
Episodes like "Knifin' Around," "Kentucky Nightmare," "Bobcat," and even "Baffler Meal" await you. Classic rock will be forever changed. For those not in the know, Adult Swim used to be a cutting-edge animation block on Sunday nights. The showcase is more live-action now - the low-budget weirdness is really, truly the kind of thing you want to put on TV when nobody is watching but the people who are going to love it - and this sort of thing is kind of everywhere and nowhere in the streaming era. You may also be surprised to hear "Squidbillies" is still on, because I sure as heck was.
