More pics than any review we've ever posted! This Takara-Tomy Beast Saga DX Starter Set Action Figure Set breaks the 100 image barrier, as it features 6 figures with a whopping 12 trading cards. It's also probably the best and weirdest Beast Saga toy money can buy right now. So read on, read our Star Wars one too, and come back soon for more!

While many people have theirs in-hand, I just got my shipping notice for OMFG Series 2 - so watch those mailboxes, or order one of the many, many recolors now available. Someone posted LittleRubberGuys.com Purple and Green Puke Knight figures which we reposted to Tumblr because why not. Puke Knight is really 1.5 (or even 2) figures in one, and you can swap vomit for maximum effect. It looks great!

Cut! The Mattel Masters of the Universe Classics Cy-Chop is a figure that, if originally released in the 1980s, would likely be a returning fan favorite. Instead, it's an all-new design which met with some friction. So read on, read our Star Wars one too, and come back soon for more!

Review: Mattel Masters of the Universe Classics Castle Grayskullman
Something new every day-- unless it's old! Our exciting non-Star WarsFigure of the Day continues for you lucky people! Is there anything we won't cover in this column? Probably not!
The last 30th Anniversary figure! Contest winner Mattel Masters of the Universe Classics Castle Grayskullman was designed by a fan, yet feels more at-home in the line than a few of Mattel's own creations. It's just so dang perfect. So read on, read our Star Wars one too, and come back soon for more!
Some have noted the color details on the item seem oddly saturated (oddly Photoshopped.) The last time I saw this in Hasbro images were because some early leaked shots got out, and usually those heavily saturated images are also used in Diamond Previews. So my guess, were I to make one, is you'll see this solicited in Previews in the next month with her new buddies. She's 006, so we need to meet 005 still.

New Member of the Turtle Club! This Takara-Tomy Beast Saga Tarlock Action Figure is really clever. Why? Anchors on the armor, epaulets, and a swell hat. This is everything you need for a good time, right here. So read on, read our Star Wars one too, and come back soon for more!
Transformers Beast Hunters News, Also Omega Supreme
New! Beast Hunters Deluxe Smokescreen and Bulkhead are coming, according to fully-packaged pics on TaoBao, which is about as close as you can get to a confirmation. Based on the numbering they should hit around the same time as Ripclaw.
Also: check out the shared exclusive Year of the Snake Omega Supreme. It's about $100 when it hits the USA, and is basically the Energon toy from 2004 with a new head and a new right arm.
Free! The 2013 Teen-Beat Portable Companion Album has 6 songs from 6 bands. Teen-Beat put out a ton of great bands over the years, like Unrest, Sexual Milkshake, Blast Off Country Style, and many many others. This comp has Stick Insect, Pang Wizard, and the oddly delightful Cotton Candy. The latter covers a jingle for Bumblebee Tuna (really) and it's bizarrely out-of-this-dimension in its eerie sincerity. And yes it's a song that was a jingle for canned tuna. Go get it.

New! You want to see NCS' new selection of Animal Crossing: New Leaf Plush Toys, as 7 varieties are coming. Tom Nook? Yes. K.K. Slider? Absolutely. Check 'em out.
Kickstarter! Richard T. Broadwater has a series of 4 Legendary Monsters on Kickstarter, with four very nice sculpts of the Jersey Devil, Chupacabra, Mothman, and the Missouri Monster. Each comes with a "victim" human figure, and they're 3 3/4-inch scale.
The hurdles? Well, there's a $350,000 goal and shipping is extra on each pledge. (For the record, October Toys factored in shipping with its pledges.) They look really swell though, and the lowest tier reward is a $25 single monster set. The lot of 4 is $90 plus $20 shipping. Pledging ends February 6, 2013.
Gone! You may know that Target Is Replacing Zellers in Canada , except for the locations where Walmart is taking over the lease. With any luck this means things may be better for both of you Canadian toy collectors in the coming months!

The concept is pretty great. A dongle that looks like a USB thumbdrive plugs into your TV's HDMI port, making it the smallest console in the history of ever. The dongle stores in a wireless controller, and the system runs on Android. (This is like another Kickstarter console darling, the Ouya.) The system is set for about $80, but software is hard to figure so far. It's a neat idea, to say the least, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing what all happens with it. (Because I travel a lot and I like the idea of a TV console I can pack up and take on a plane.)
What's more, another console dubbed the "Steambox" is being talked up by Valve. Engadget has a look at the prototypes. Rumors persist of the Xbox #3 and PlayStation #4 dropping this year as well, so this could be a fairly big new generation of hardware. With the GameStick being a very physically small part of this. What can I say, I'm excited.

Wow! An Asian toy board has a gallery of Beast Hunters Voyager Optimus Prime, and it's looking good. Less "Prime"-ey than the rest of the line, he feels like a chunky mishmash of everything that makes an Optimus toy neat. Sword, guns, rockets, and a scowl on his face. He should be in stores pretty soon, as the sample appears to be a final, fully-packaged release.
Also: you can support us by pre-ordering the Transformers Omega Supreme Action Figure (Platinum Edition) at Amazon.com. It's about $100, but if you click through this link (and frankly, order anything Amazon sells) we get a small cut of it. This helps fund our site, which is actually in pretty dire need of upgrading its old hardware, so hey - go order one, and it'll help us out! Hooray, affiliate links.
Hurry! The Callgrim Drop Menu: January 11, 2013 shows what you may have missed in last Friday's Callgrim drop. The Warp Bike sold our quickly, cast in grey vinyl. Two of the four new releases (silver, black) are now gone, with green and gold still available at $10 each. Hurry if you want one! (You want one.)
Also, The Ni Stuff Outlander figure has been revealed! It looks like bits and pieces of Callgrim and Pheyden got mixed together to create something new. No date is given, but he confirms it will be coming out of the same Glyos factory we're all used to. So that's good news! No pricing yet either.
2013 Germany, 2014 USA! The New First Part 2013 at Animobil shows off many of the new creatures coming in an upcoming Alpine theme. Marmots, chamois, and new cows are on deck, and other themes add unicorns and, if the rumors are true, an Asian dragon-based line. Well, "rumor." I'm reading it was on a German Playmobil forum and Playmobil made them pull it, supposedly because the collector club is supposed to announce things first and it's quickly realizing that the Internet exists in 2013 and the news will break when the news feels like breaking.

After about a month, Target seems to have marked down SLUG Zombies at some locations to about 70% off ($1.18 per 3-pack, $2.98 for 12-packs). Many stores were picked over at 50%, but if you are in the market for a cheap thrill you really ought to go take a look for these guys. 12 figures for 3 bucks is arguably the best cheap thrill you'll get on the toy aisle, and if nothing else they're cheap blanks to treat as unpainted miniature figures.
Series 4 seems to be in shortest supply, along with the Christmas sets. If you're short on case, grab those first. Good hunting, gentlemen (and ladies!)

If you're like me and are crazy about OMFG from October Toys, check out OTMG Baby Deadbeet Flesh, a $2 mini-figure from the same company, same plastic color, and generally same organization as OMFG. It's even an early design from the line which didn't make the cut, making it essentially an OMFG figure. It's also only $2, and shipping is dirt cheap - I ordered 3 because it was only two bucks and change to ship it to me. "OTMF" is "October Toys Mini Figures" and odds are I will be buying a bunch of the things if they do more character.
An awesome plum-colored version has already sold out. The figure was designed by Scott Tolleson and sculpted by George Gaspar, or so my intel tells me.

Xbox fans, it's time to download Skulls of the Shogun, a $15/1200-point tactical game game from 17-BIT, who have the greatest logo ever. Microsoft says:
"
Skulls of the Shogun is an award-winning genre mashup of turn-based tactics and arcade action, featuring 8-10 hours of epic (but tongue-in-cheek) story-driven campaign, and multiplayer modes for 2-4 players. With fast-paced tactical elements, intense action, and eye-catching graphics and animation, 17-BIT is getting back to the pick-up-and-play fun of previous generations of gaming, where the depth unfolds as you play.
