What makes this particular model notable is HDMI support - this is something that's left out of a lot of the other cheaper clones. The RetroN 5 has it, but it supports numerous consoles for over $100. This one is $40. I haven't personally owned any of their devices, but as a low-end alternative to the Analogue Nt Mini or the RetroUSB AVS it may suit your needs. One wonders when or if Nintendo will make one of their own - if they're in the business of limited edition hardware, something that can run cartridges would be a real treat.

Henry Rollins has played a few of the tracks on his KCRW show, and they're good - he also indicated Mr. Svenonious had more music coming this year but didn't specify with which of his side projects. I'd love another XYZ record.
