 Via Snakes: Optimus Primal compared with Air Attack Optimus Primal. Right now this Hasbro product has no confirmed US release, but those with money to bet on such things are probably putting it on Amazon and Toys R Us.
For those unsure what they're looking at: the Beast Machines Optimus Primal was packaged in a Robots in Disguise box as Air Attack Optimus Primal over 10 years ago - so this is not actually from Beast Wars. The toy seems largely unchanged, other than coloring and a new faction symbol which morphs Maximals and Autobots.

Power Lords Supposedly Not Actually Dead

  Via the Source Horsemen forums: Re: Thank You Horsemen! A cynical (also factual) post was followed up with much discussion before the eventual chiming in on the line's future. Those of you who have been keeping track may recall the first two bucks debuted around 2013, and the line has been almost completely dormant save for a couple of recolors for most of the past year. An excerpt:
"To address the biggest elephant in the room: The line has not been abandoned, and it hasn't been until we say it has." Later:
"Power Lords was set up with a plan based on the way that Outer Space Men was handled. With OSM we took a while, but we did accomplish what we set out to do which was getting all of the original characters out to fans. We were even able to get 4 extra characters done, which was an amazing bonus. With PL the same system just flat out didn't work, and it's taken us a while to figure out how exactly we can make it happen. The simple fact is that the numbers just didn't work. We think that given the right set-up the numbers can work. We've taken so much time and put so much thought into retooling things because we want to make sure and get as many characters as possible out there. We want them all!"
For those keeping track, The Outer Space Men put out between three and six new figures per year plus recolors in 2010-2013. While kind of slow by big toy company standards, that's pretty impressive for an indie. Power Lords debuted around September of 2013 with its second buck a month later - and we've been getting recolors ever since. The last recolors were February 2015, and the painted "main" figures were in July 2014. By any standard, seven months between waves is a pretty long time - and it will no doubt be longer. With nothing to buy the line is still, if you ask me, dead anyway.
