What (we think) we know: Titan Wars is likely a 2016 sequel to Combiner Wars, and from the look of things big toys will transform from robot to alt mode to some sort of playset for smaller "Headmasters" partners. If they are from Nebulos or Cyberton or are just Mini-Cons remains to be seen, but what's particularly telling about this piece is that it seems to bring back some of the personality of one of the last great and omnipresent trends in toys before the stink of the collector dictated a move away from micro toys toward fancier collector items.

Other "rumored" toys so far include Fortress Maximus (a reshelled Metroplex from 2013) and a shuttle whose identity is not completely clear yet. It is also speculated that the 2016 Legends Buzzsaw may be compatible with this new line, but that remains to be seen.

More on other recent announcements will be coming - I'm working on what was a great idea with poor execution for the SDCC coverage.

What is interesting here is a smattering of numbers and the first legit news of a revival of Mobile Armored Strike Kommand (MASK) despite the fact that we've all been hearing rumblings for some time.

For those unfamiliar with the property, this was a late-1980s toy line in the vein of small-figure-with-vehicle competitors like Starcom, Dino-Riders, Air Raiders, and so forth. Each figure was about 2-inches tall and included a removable helmet - or mask - and a vehicle with limited transformation abilities. Usually a car would sprout wings or pop-out guns, or a motorcycle could turn into a makeshift gyrocopter. It was neat stuff, so a lot of older toy fans are curious to see how new ones may shake out in this reduced-cost, higher-price era.
