Review: Fisher-Price Imaginext Series 6 Collectible Figures Chicken Suit
Something new every day-- unless it's old! Our exciting Figure of the Day continues for you lucky people! Is there anything we won't cover in this column? Probably not!
Via Kickstarter: Family Picross and Alfonzo's Arctic Adventure. Both are campaigns for NES cartridges. The games themselves are finished and the campaigns are both fully funded, but if you need more NES in your life this is a way to get it. Games start at about $25 for cartridges, but prices vary from campaign to campaign.
The official Kickstarter Twitter posted shots of a Laptor (or that was a typo) as well as a Triceradogos. No pre-orders yet on those, but a few places are already sold out of pre-orders on Grachiosaurus and Kuwaga.
This week's batch of titles on the eShop: Steven Universe: Save the Light, RISK, Trivial Pursuit Live, Jeopardy!, Wheel of fortune, Swap This!, and Transistor. And many, many more.
At retail: Diablo III: Eternal Collection, Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum 'n Fun!, and LEGO Harry Potter Collection. And others.
We also got word that a Piranha Plant Amiibo is coming for Super Mash Bros. Ultimate, as is a $6 pack of DLC. And a season pass of $25 DLC. The plant is a playable character for free if you buy the game before the end of January 2019.
The ROM is up now as "pay what you want" but a physical cartridge is coming later. The sticker design looks pretty good, and the graphics look like something you played on your dad's Macintosh in 1986. There's an in-browser emulator if you care to try it, and it's worth a look just to see what people are doing. Along with Tobu Tobu Girl and Sheep It Up, there aren't a heck of a lot of new cartridges being made with wholly new games. Mostly all we get are bootlegs of existing games, so new games on actual media tend to be quite exciting.
If you're making any new games on old hardware with plans for a cartridge release, please let us know. Also please pester Onell Design to do a Pheyden game. Please and thank you.

Jesse Destasio Talks Action Figure of the Month Kickstarter
Via the Glyos News Dump: Q&A with Jesse DeStasio - Action Figure of the Month Club. Jesse sent along a new piece of art and answered some questions about his new, mostly-Glyos Compatible action figure line coming to you by mail roughly every lunar cycle. Ninjas, warriors, knights, and all sorts of new things - including what seems to be Matt Doughty's head - are on deck for this one.
It's a big buy-in, but looks to be worth a glance. Check it out!
Via Phil: Kohl's has an exclusive Arcade 1Up with 12-in-1 Arcade Games & Riser is slightly different than the ones at Walmart for $100 less. This one has twice the games, different controls, and a $100 riser in it.
It's a little short - more sized for kids - but with the riser, it might be acceptable for your needs.

Japanese! The Takara-Tomy Zoids Wild ZW-06 Gabrigator Figure Kit is probably my favorite of the ones I've assembled thus far. Good colors, fun mechanism, good built, and I like the general look and feel of this weirdo. So read on, and come back tomorrow for more!
Via Kaiju Big Battel's Kickstarter: Test shots. Brown-colored test shots of the figures are on display... and they're not bad. I'm glad I supported these.
They write: "Also was told we just might be able to squeeze in some time at the factory and have these by New Year's, cross your fingers." That may still mean it takes 4-6 weeks for the boat to land in the USA, but hey, sooner is better than later. Original plans called for June.
Via RetroUSB: 8 BIT XMAS 2018 is available now. This NES-compatible cartridge is outfitted with blinking lights and includes games with Skiing and Snowboarding. It's $46.00.
Via the official They Might Be Giants Twitter:
They Might Be BrickHeadz. The rock duo is presented in an older incarnation, younger, and with a bluebird. Thousands of signatures are needed for LEGO to pay it any mind, and it's been getting a couple hundred signatures since I loaded the page and hit reload when it was time to write this up.
It's a neat idea - I'm curious if it has enough appeal to make plastic!
G.I. Joe Club Announces Their Final 12 3 3/4-Inch Action Figures
Via G.I. Joe Collector's Club: The Final 12. The Collector's Club had let it be known their time making figures was coming to an end, closing the door on a fantastic line that kicked off about 11 years ago with a small wave of figures and vehicles. Highlights include Slaughter's Marauders Barbeque, Slaughter's Marauders Low-Light, Slaughter's Marauders Lt. Falcon, Sonic Fighters Dodger, and Sonic Fighters Cobra Vipers. To name a few. There are also a couple of Adventure Team figures, including Black Spider Rendezvous and Coils O'Doom.

Via Takara-Tomy Mall: Zoids Wild Hunter Wolf! It looks kind of like a mixture of the Irvine Command Wolf and Konig Wolf from the series around the turn of the millennium. One, please. Due in December.
"The Long Journey Home combines an open world full of galaxies, planets and anomalies with quests and mechanics of a rogue-like RPG. One destination. Endless adventures. Where will this journey take you?"
Also available: Fallout 76, HITMAN 2, Project Highrise: ArchitectÕs Edition and Aces of the Luftwaffe Squadron Š Extended Edition. And a lot more, including pre-orders.

New GameBoy Gadget - Use a GameBoy as PC/Pi/GameCube/Wii Controller
If you've ever wanted to use your GameBoy (regular, pocket, color, or advance) as a wireless controller on another system this is your lucky week. Some guy has a Wireless Gameboy Controller (For PC/RPi, Gamecube or Wii) - it's a cartridge that interfaces with a dongle (sold separately) and presumably more drivers could be coming.
This lets you use a GameBoy with a GameBoy Player (on GameCube) like a WaveBird. It doesn't seem to support L or R shoulder buttons yet though, so maybe you want to wait for the next revision - but it's a heck of a start.

Knights of the Slice/Toy Pizza/Glyos Kickstarter Ends Wednesday
Ends Wednesday: Action Figure of the Month Club is, at press time, a few hundred bucks shy of a $35,000 stretch goal. If you're on the fence, 4 subscribers would get them beyond the goal.
There are some interesting figure designs revealed, including a rough sculpt based on Glyos head Matt Doughty, an army man in a gas mask, ninjas, and other sci-fi weirdness. A full year is $240, 6 random drops are $130, and a random figure is $25. A few styles have been unveiled so far and it's an interesting array of colorful weirdness inspired by global indie and mass-market action figure stylings.

You can buy the ROM - seriously, people paying for a ROM, amazing - or the boxed game, too. I grabbed the boxed game on the Kickstarter, and while it's not cheap at US $48, that's not too far off from what most NES games cost in the 1980s and 1990s. Factor in inflation, and it's probably fair - granted, games have changed a lot since then. But I digress. Take a look at this one.

Via Glyos News Dump: More Onell Design - Thursday Night Drop. A second mystery figure was teased in the Onell Design comment section, and it looks like the Wolverine and TMNG-themed figures are also going to show up here - more information as we have it! Don't forget to set those clocks for 9:30 PM EST for these guys.
Via Thingiverse: Gameboy Advance SP Enclosure. There are a few of these around, but I hadn't seen them before - so now I'm sharing them here. This one lets you stuff the guts of a GBA SP into a shell that's similar to that of a Game Boy Pocket. It does not have RL buttons, but if you want something that looks or feels like the pre-2000s Game Boy, this is it.
A few other makes and models are on Thingiverse, and to my knowledge nobody is pumping these out from molds in China yet. I'd buy one if there was one, though.
GBA Consolizer - Adds HDMI, Super NES Controller Ports to a GBA
Via RetroRGB: GBA Consolizer: An HDMI 720p GBA Kit. This is a new add-on kit that requires some soldering and some work, and it ain't cheap - but it does some cool things. You have to mod a donor GBA, but as a result you get a few graphical features including an HDMI-out for your TV and a Super NES controller port.
As is the style of our time, add-ons for this add-on are already being made with a new console casing for the unit available via 3-D printing. The kit itself is currently presold out of its current run, and it's also somewhat expensive - but appears to be the best way to play games from this system until Nintendo or someone comes up with a mod-free gizmo later. This will never happen.

Newish! The Onell Design Glyos Greeden is a Pheyden in Kenner Greedo colors... and his buddy comes out tonight. But who is his buddy? Check the Onell Design store tonight at 9:30 PM EST for clues... and to buy it. So read on, and come back tomorrow for more!

The GCE/Milton Bradley game console has a built-in vector monitor and a controller that tucks neatly under the 9-inch screen. The mini version was not widely known about - heck, I'd never heard of it - and the original console is pretty scarce as it is. Take a look!
Ninja surprise! Hand, foot, eyes (snake), teenage mutant, and variants thereof are up for grabs still. As is the mysterious Pheytooth. There's no picture, we assume the Onell Design crew must have hit a snag.
This week's batch of titles on the eShop: Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP, ACA NEOGEO KING OF THE MONSTERS 2, Akihabara - Feel the Rhythm Remixed, Animal Hunter Z, Demetrios - The BIG Cynical Adventure, Screencheat: Unplugged, and Stardust Galaxy Warriors: Stellar Climax. And many, many more.
At retail: Toki and Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom. And others. Toki has a little "cabinet" you can put your screen in, with some other stuff, at a $20 mark-up for the collector's edition boxed set at GameStop
