Ad: Star Wars Vintage, Clone Wars at Entertainment Earth

Entertainment EarthEntertainment Earth and Diamond put up some new Star Wars items today, including swell new Vintage Collection and Clone Wars action figure cases. (And Transformers Bot Shots, which if you like Battle Beasts, you're probably going to love.)

Star Wars Clone Wars 2012 Action Figures Wave 2 was shown last year at New York Comic Con and will include Rex and Republic Commando Boss, as well as the return of the hard-to-find Aayla Secura and a few other favorites from the last couple of years.

For Vintage fans, Star Wars Action Figures 2012 Vintage Wave 4 Revision 1 is the long-lost wave from last year with Kithaba, Wedge, Dr. Evazan, Nom Anor, another Aayla Secura, Hoth Luke, Clone Wars Anakin, and a few others. It should be exciting stuff, so click through to see the contents and the latest release date.

Kyle Reese Coming to Terminator

ToysKyle ReeseDespite being one of the first heroes in a big-deal movie franchise, nobody really gave this guy a figure. NECA confirmed Michael Biehn's Kyle Reese is coming to its Terminator line which should make for a popular figure later this year. It's amazing that, despite there being so many figures, there's a lot of stuff nobody bothered to do yet from the 1980s still.

Back to the Future Hoverboard Replica On Preorder Now

MoviesHoverboardThe most-beloved prop from the least-beloved film in the series is coming. MattyCollector.com's Exclusive Hoverboard is up for preorder and there's a preorder bonus-- you get an action figure-scaled hoverboard to go with it! I should note, nowhere do they confirm they will actually be making action figures, so consider it a He-Man accessory. Each is $120, which seems like a decent price for a prop replica, and the window is open through March 20.

Mad Matty March Sale: MOTUC, DCU, More

MattyCheapnissSeveral older figures are on sale at MattyCollector.com's Mad Matty March! I picked up several MOTUC items I missed earlier, and the main reason to do this is because it's probably cheaper than shipping one figure at a time. (Shipping for one? $8. Shippingn for 20? $20.) He-Man and Skeletor are just over $15 each, which is quite the deal for those two. She-Ra, Panthor, Battle Cat, Eternian Guards, Gygor, Demo-Man, and many others are up for grabs so grab. (Demo-Man is scheduled for FOTD in April... I didn't expect he'd be back up quickly, but the short of it is that he's cool and probably worth owning.)

Hasbro Hates America, Probably: New Generations Toys Asia-Exclusives

TransformersClubbedToday Hasbro announced a bunch of new toys at CybertronCon in Singapore [TheAllspark.com] and guess what? Most of them aren't leaving Asia. While we're used to TakaraTomy products sticking around in Japan, Hasbro making items-- specifically collector-friendly Classics/Generations items like these-- exclusive to Asia is a little strange. Although it's not completely unprecedented: around 2008, a few items were made including Overkill and Drag Strip which were eventually also offered to HasbroToyShop.com. Hasbro has yet to comment on how long it has been since they stopped loving America.

Rise Of The Beasts Kickstarter Canceled, Or Canadian

Rise Of The BeastsMcRobotsIt was scheduled to be funded on Wednesday morning, but Rise of the Beasts Kickstarter Plug Pulled, Size Matters explains some of the weirdness that went down since the plug got pulled.

The short of it seems to be there are factory issues, and now the items may well be manufactured in Canada rather than China. Which, well, that's pretty cool, but the community-funding part of it seems to be for naught. Be sure to pop over here for more news as it develops. A big part of it seems to have to do with size, and if a factory would be willing to deliver figures the size of the original Battle Beasts.

Masters of the Universe Documentary Coming

Masters of the UniverseRise of the BeastsA documentary called Toy Masters is being made, and there's a pretty swell preview of it right here. There's some neat stuff touched on during a short preview, such as ownership of the character, Mattel and Filmation butting heads over the purpose of the cartoon, and some other great stuff. It's worth seeing, and the actual finished doc has no known release date yet.
