Hasbro and Hunter PR joined forces to let us ask questions. Here are two of them.
Question #1
Star Wars has a "greatest hits" Saga Legends line which keeps some toys (and characters) constantly in rotation. Will we ever see something like this for Transformers? For example, Sideswipe from the 2008 Transformers Universe line is a great mold, and it seemed to sell well, but the secondary market is slowing driving up his price. There are no Beast Wars toys in circulation, and presumably there must be dozens of top-notch deluxe-class molds still in working order in your factories. With HUB airing older Transformers programming, can we expect a modern equivalent of the late-1990s Beast Wars "Fox Kids" assortments to keep existing toys of older characters on-shelf for the kids and the new fans?
We do not have any plans to be releasing any Beast Wars assortments in the near future.
Note: Yes, we realize Hasbro did not answer our question.
Question #2
What's going on with the Transformers Challenge on Cybertron set? This clearly Hasbro-packaged item included a Cyclonus, Rodimus, and Galvatron redeco and was distributed at an Asian toy convention, yet we're hearing rumblings that it will be a Target exclusive. Since it was not shown at the Summer conventions, and as far as we know nobody at Hasbro has confirmed this, we'd love to know if (or when) we can expect this set to go on sale in the USA.
Unfortunately this item will not be for sale in the U.S.
Note: Yes, we realize Hasbro announced a very similar item with Rodimus and Cyclonus but not Galvatron for late 2010/early 2011 recently. This was asked prior to that announcement.
