More Batman! 6-inch, cloth covered action figures are on the way from Mezco Toyz. Mega-poseable Universal Monsters, DC Comics, and Judge Dredd are on deck as are, presumably, many more. Only Batman from The Dark Knight Returns was shown, which was a pretty solid choice to start with.

Neca's figure is included with this $24 bundle, which ain't bad - the movie was quite good and Neca figures are usually $15-$20 on their own. So go ahead and get this one when it hits stores... the date has not yet been announced.
Since the release is close, seeing the long-awaited Marvel at Comic-Con was pretty impressive - from the look of things, Hasbro is giving the kind of attention Toy Biz gave it in their better years, with some surprise new releases and a bunch of wild rumors floating around based on a certain surprise hit movie.

The figure is $34.99 - a solid $10-$15 over the regular non-exclusive version - and is due in December. If history is any indication, one of two things will happen. One, it will pre-sell out and you can't have it - or two, Amazon will chicken out and slash the price by 50% within the first week of it being in their warehouse. I'm gambling on #2.
It's a caretaker year, so Star Wars at Comic-Con was pretty blah. Very few of the new items debuting at the show will be out this year, or even by Toy Fair 2015 - some of the new Black Series is scheduled for March.

I got a few of these from a presumably defunct store called "Benjamin Franklin" after I saw that my kindergarten teacher had some and I became enamored with them and wanted to know where they came from. I found a couple of them in one of my old toy boxes recently but the brightly-colored ones are mostly gone. I don't know if they were bootlegs or the real deal, but creatures included things like an apatasaurus, stegosaurus, triceratops, mammoth, saber-tooth tiger, and some sort of duckbill biped. Neat stuff.

Hardships, sorrow, loss, mourning, and the human spirit can be difficult to capture in any form of human endeavor, so the people behind this site set out to make a toy video review that truly gets at the nut meat of what matters in life. We give you... Six Second Toy Talk.

It is rare for a character to capture the imagination of a country to the point of preposterousness, and then have that figure drawn, quartered, and split up into six pieces. Six is, of course, not "quartered." Such a figure's strange birth can only be the work of a power of mystifying strength, and it's the subject of today's Six Second Toy Talk.
Also notable: a Clearance Sale! Over 2,000 items are on sale right now for ridiculous prices. Action figures, statues, busts, dioramas, and oversized replica vintage toys can be yours - if you hurry!
Don't forget, spend $79 on in-stock items to get free USA shipping.

That's So Ravens - Four Horsemen Figures Kickstarter Re-Delayed
Via Kickstarter: FINALLY!!! THE FACTORY HAS GIVEN US A SCHEDULED SHIP DATE! While we were previously told March, and then July, now we're hearing a September 28 ship date from China. For those of you who do a lot of toy shipping from China (like I do) you know that it takes about 6 weeks - if you're lucky - for the finished product to hit US shores. From there it takes a week or two to get to the destination (in this case New Jersey), and then they have to inspect the goods before packing them up and shipping them out.
Just so you can not be angry when Halloween rolls around, consider this: the Four Horsemen sometimes take 3-7 weeks to get orders out when their products are in stock, and these are not yet here. With that in mind, it seems unlikely (thanks to 1,510 backers - a lot more than their releases tend to get with Power Lords and Outer Space Men) that there is any way that the Horsemen will have figures in their hands until at least Thanksgiving. With the holiday there may be delay getting boxes sorted and packed - plus the sheer quantity of other items probably means that Christmas may be a sensible ETA for existing Kickstarter orders.
The Horsemen also posted that new orders are welcome for these figures starting September 15 for everybody. Existing backers can place new orders on September 14, with a 10% discount. With that in mind, it seems extremely optimistic that all new orders can be delivered before the day with the tree and the fat man in the red suit, but it's entirely possible. Just keep your expectations in order - and this is an optimistic scenario assuming that the figures don't have more packaging-related delays.
It's a fascinating thing to see this level of transparency, particularly given that you get to see what happens when a company decides to make sure that the details are perfect, rather than adhering to an artificial deadline. I think Nintendo once said something to the effect that delays are temporary, but your fans will remember a bad product forever.
My vehicle issues have been resolved and shipping is resuming. We're sending out the physical rewards for backers up to the Double Down backer level.
The unique rewards for Artmaster and higher are being compiled for shipping. We will be in touch with the high-end backers regarding individualized parts and other specialty rewards shortly.
Thank you for you patience.
-Trent Troop"
Obviously these things happen, and for those keeping track the BMOG sets were in the USA, and went on sale at BotCon in June of this year. Shipping can be a time-consuming thing to coordinate. I pledged at the $50 level, which I assume did not yet ship.
Some rosy news via the Rise of the Beasts Kickstarter: First full factory order is IN! The Kickstarted died, but the line didn't - Mr. Karis was kind enough to send some prototypes along to me late last year, so I'll be doing a post on those shortly. They're pretty slick.
The Glyos factory is making these, so the figures are - surprise! - Glyos-compatible. They do nice work and they don't put out inferior products, so these s hould be pretty good. I haven't seen pricing or an ETA yet, but these should be on the happy side of excellent. Painted and unpainted figures will be made, and a video is on their Kickstarter page.
Six Second Toy Talk: Star Wars Black Series Darth Vader

Check it out.
