NYCC Diamond Select Toys Minimates Gallery! The folks at Diamond Select Toys had a nice installation showing some amazing highlights celebrating 10 Years of Minimates, a tiny little toy line which has grown to somewhere around 1,000 collectible figures from nearly every license that matters... except the Lucasfilm ones. But pretty much everything else is here, from Madonna (via Desperately Seeking Susan), Back to the Future, and even KISS. It's a robust line which has grown to include original IP as well as... well, I just saw Spider-Sense Spider-Man with a nifty "glow" effect on his head during lunch today. It's a fun line.
Our good pal Nik went to the show (follow him on the Twitter, send him money) took over 60 images of an amazing installation showcasing a pretty sizable swath of new and old figures, from Battle Beasts to Speed Racer to dang near everything. Well, not everything... but holy cow, have you ever seen so many in one place? I suggest you spend your lunch break perusing the gallery, because where else are you going to see Alice Cooper concept art today?
