From He-Man.org/Facebook/Elsewhere: Toy Fair He-Man Sneak Peek! Before the Matty event, we now have a look at some awesome (and obscure) characters proving 2013 is, unsurprisingly, going to be fantastic. Check out Mantenna, Shokoti, Castle Grayskull, Castaspella, Icer, and Batros.
My Friday flight was cancelled, but I should be landing late Saturday.
Out pals at Diamond Select Toys sent us a big news release today, jam-packed with new license information. We'll hopefully have images from you (assuming we make it out to New York with the storm), but here's the awesome part:
"On display at [Diamond Select Toys'] booth 4905 will be new items from DST's broad array of licenses: Marvel Comics, Marvel Studios, The Walking Dead, Star Wars, Star Trek, Universal Monsters, The Munsters, Knight Rider, Ghostbusters, Pathfinder, Tomb Raider and Invincible. Products will include highly detailed 7-inch action figures, 2-inch Minimates mini-figures, Femme Fatales PVC statues, Granix art plaques, vehicles, light-up statues, banks, prop replicas, bottle openers, kitchenware, neon signs and more.
DST will also announce two new licenses at the show:
Lost in Space: The classic 1960s TV show, which updated 'The Swiss Family Robinson' for the space age, will receive Minimates and an electronic replica of the B-9 robot.
Aliens: The 1986 science-fiction classic that drove the Alien franchise to new heights will receive Minimates and Minimate vehicles, as well as electronic vehicles of the Colonial Marines' military transports."
As someone who loves this stuff and sells this stuff for a living, this is good news indeed.
It's snowing in New York, so that can only mean one thing: Toy Fair Coverage! I'm stupid tired so we're going to try to get as much up (with my meetings for my day job) as possible. We have 6 total galleries tonight, four of which are from The Four Horsemen's Toypocalypse event and another 2 are from Mattel. Both companies have more galleries coming, but I'll never get to bed if I don't post these now. Let's start with Gothtropolis!
Toy Fair 2013: Masters of the Universe Classics Galleries
There were two events, so we have two galleries! Check out Masters of the Universe Classics from both the Four Horsemen and Mattel's own events! Big news include Filmation Subscription Figures and the first reveal of the massive Castle Grayskull Playset.

Toy Fair Video: Star Trek Klingon Disruptor Replica
This will be in our Diamond Select Toys coverage as soon as it's formatted, but since we just landed back home it made sense to give you some stuff as it's ready. Here's a new Star Trek Klingon Disruptor for your amusement. We liked it.
Blake's bear coat has been quite popular. The first run did so well, we were told they had to make more. As always you can get one at Entertainment Earth and support my day job.
Starchy and awesome! Check out PPW Mr. Potato Heads including Marvel and DC Comics characters. The company had previously made top-notch Elvis Presley, KISS, Wizard of Oz, and sports potatoes.
Most figures are individually packaged, although there are some boxed sets. More are coming and additional new licenses are in the works, of which we are very excited to see.

Review: Takara-Tomy Transformers Prime Zad Action Figure
Something new every day-- unless it's old! Our exciting non-Star WarsFigure of the Day continues for you lucky people! Is there anything we won't cover in this column? Probably not!
Lizard! The Takara-Tomy Transformers Prime Zad Action Figure is a really barebones release but it is oddly delightful. How many lizard/gun/buzzsaw toys do you have? Probably not all that many. So read on, read our Star Wars one too, and come back soon for more!
Arguably the most infuriatingly great character pick in some time: BotCon gets Strika! The female Decepticon warlord comes as a part of the Machine Wars boxed set. Basically Warpath in new colors with a new head, Strika more or less insinuates that an Obsidan based on Tomahawk is all but guaranteed.
The tank mode isn't shown, but the release date is June 27 in San Diego for BotCon 2013.
Messenger bags, plush, lights, scarves, keychains, and more were shown plus a lot of items were teased. Crowded Coop is also working with one Justin Killgrove, whose prints and/or art you may have seen. Good stuff.
So green! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles had a strong year at Playmates, so this made up the bulk of their offerings. No other boy's toys were shown, and it looks like TMNT is getting the kind of full-line treatment that you would have expected in the late 1980s or early 1990s. The sheer quantity of vehicles and playsets dwarfs anything from Hasbro or Mattel, and you can probably thank the massive kid audience for this.
Classic fans will appreciate TMNT Classics of Bebop and Rocksteady, plus another run of the main turtles, later this year. Good times.
BanDai showcased a big amount of Godzilla toys, which is no small feat given that the long-running toy line hasn't had a new movie to play off of since Godzilla: Final Wars.
In addition to more vinyl figures, a super deformed figure boxed set was shown and will probably knock your socks off. Check out that Mothra.
BanDai showed stuff covering two decades with their Power Rangers Toy Fair Gallery! Just click the pictures for more, as there were a heck of a lot of items.
Zords galore, vinyl figures, action figures, and mini-figures were just some of the items on display. There were also new trading cards which will be packaged with most of the new toy items.
Toy Fair 2013: BanDai Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures Gallery
From the new cartoon! Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures is a new push from BanDai, complete with TV series and a massive line-up of toys. Action figures, mini-figures, the works.
Most of the toys are focused on the new TV show, but a couple of items seem to hold true to the original video games... granted, this item was shown last year, but check it out anyway.
We're shooting some short videos in New York which will be in our Toy Fair coverage as each article goes live... but since the videos are done early, we may as well post them here.
Crowded Coop's Sizzling Bacon key chain. You know you want it. Well, OK, maybe you don't, but here it is.

So here's a video we just had to share, because some of you will be delighted, some of you will giggle, and others still will be horrified. Naturally you ought to watch it.
Check out this USB tentacle. What can I say? It's a USB tentacle.
Toy Fair 2013: Star Trek Kre-O and More Construction Sets
Star Trek Into Darkness toys! New Hasbro Kre-O G.I. Joe, Transformers, and Star Trek are just your top licenses. Hasbro adds legitimacy to its ongoing construction line with big brick buckets, an essential part to having a good time with this kind of toy. Star Trek Into Darkness will feature electronic light bricks, and we've got a video demo inside this feature.
Yo Joe! Hasbro G.I. Joe Toy Fair Coverage is up now, and it's mostly movie stuff with a few new "classic" figures getting some sort of ultimate-edition upgrade.
There's also a giant new helicopter, which is pretty exciting given how little new product we've seen lately. Rejoice!
Toy Fair 2013: Funko Pop! Vinyl and Bobble Head Gallery
They strike again!! New Funko Bobble Heads and Pop! Vinyl are likely to knock your socks off. Things like Big Lebowski were not shown, but others were. Check out Mary Poppins, Adventure Time, Beavis & Butt-Head, and so much more.
Also new? Cantivities! It's a tin can with office supplies inside.
Max Steel Returns! Check out Mattel Max Steel Action Figures which are a lot smaller this time. Normally both 12-inches tall and sold in South America, this line is getting retooled for American audiences and tastes with smaller figures sadly lacking in sabre toothed battle cats.
It's very futuristic, but it is colorful. Do check it out.
Something new every day-- unless it's old! Our exciting non-Star WarsFigure of the Day continues for you lucky people! Is there anything we won't cover in this column? Probably not!
Green! The Seth Longmire Custom Glyos Glyan Squad Verihex Action Figure is our 600th Figure of the Day, not to be confused with the 2,000th Star Wars one we ran last week. This is a hand-painted edition from a reader/pal, and we're quite pleased to have an excuse to show it off to you. So read on, read our Star Wars one too, and come back soon for more!
Figure of the Day has updated once again! The daily feature on figures you might have but might not-- either way, here's what you've been missing! Spanning from the original Power of the Force series of 2695 to the latest of The Vintage Collection, it's almost like a history lesson!
Today we look at an Imperial Navy Trooper. It's from 2012 and was somewhat tough to find. Go to Figure of the Day for the next update, with the latest installment in our ongoing series!
If you haven't already, also check out another installment Galactic Hunter Video Theater in which we look at whatever the last thing I posted about was!
Toy Fair Video: Playmates Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Showroom
If you haven't seen it, hey, why not watch it now? This video is a quick turnaround in the Playmates Toys booth at New York Toy Fair 2013. You get a good idea how the place looks.
Highlights include a new assortment of Marvel Legends, some Assemblers (including an electronic set), Mini Muggs, and some other returning favorites. It's definitely a good year for younger fans.
It never ends! Hasbro Star Wars Action Figures are gearing up for a new year, with a lot of shake-ups and very little in the way of never-before-made-as-toy characters.
Highlights include new cheaper Saga Legends, the 6-inch Black Series, more Angry Birds, and of course the simplified and cheaper 12-inch action figure line.
Someone must have told Hasbro to go big or go home, because the Hasbro Transformers Action Figure Gallery has what may well be the biggest figure ever with the 24-inch tall new edition of Metroplex gunning to out-awesome the previous winner, Fortress Maximus.
Other new additions include the Skylanders-inspired Beam Box game plus toy, more Bot Shots, and a whole mess of pretty swell Generations toys including a new Orion Pax!
Watch the video! A very nice young lady was kind enough to let us shoot the demo for Hasbro Sesame Street Big Hugs Elmo, a nicely animated new toy which is this year's big fancy Elmo item.
There's not much else to this gallery, but I was delighted to finally capture one of the booth presenters on film. Many of the trade events I go to hire these people who put on a nifty 2-minute show or a sketch, and now you can see what I see!
"Hi-yo Silver, Away!" LEGO Lone Ranger Construction Sets bring the much-missed Western theme back, with a ringing celebrity endorsement.
Trains, buildings, stage coaches, and horses galore await you in the gallery below. The big train seems like the set to get, but tell me that isn't one of the better stage coaches you've ever seen.
Build yourself a fortress! LEGO Castles Return for 2013 bringing new horses along with a giant dragon, drawbridges, and two warring factions
The orcs, ogres, dwarves, and fantastical elements from the last theme are nowhere to be seen as red and blue nations now duke it out for total supremacy over the King's Castle.
Minus the Hobbit part! LEGO Lord of the Rings will be getting a Summer line extension with the Black Gate, The Council of Elrond, and a swell Wizard Battle spanning various price points.
Despite being based on a book we were all read as children, sets from the new Hobbit movie were not on display or even really teased. But hey, at least there's a Pirate Ship Ambush for you to enjoy.
Not much product was shown, but it is sort of early to showcase this stuff given how everybody has gone increasingly insane when it comes to street dates, spoilers, marketing dates, and other nonsense in this industry. But don't worry about that for now, just enjoy the photos.
Another Dimension! Bif Bang Pow! Twilight Zone Collectibles will continue, bringing more action figures based on the classic sci-fi TV show as well as more dioramas and household items.
A couple of low-cost dioramas based on "Eye of the Beholder" and "Nightmare At 20,000 Feet" should probably grab your attention.
Figure of the Day has updated once again! The daily feature on figures you might have but might not-- either way, here's what you've been missing! Spanning from the original Power of the Force series of 1995 to the latest of The Vintage Collection, it's almost like a history lesson!

Xbox fans, it's time to download Capcom Arcade Cabinet, a $5/400-point arcade game collection with, I assume, DLC to follow. Microsoft says:
"Capcom's pedigree arcade games are back! Take on players from around the world in "score attack" and even play together with online co-op! (Only for titles that support this feature.) Check out these classic games, now loaded with a "casual mode" geared towards newcomers and other new features. Try out "Black Dragon", "1943" and " Avengers"!"
Also new is Serious Sam Double D XXL, a $10/800-point Contra clone with dinosaurs. Hunh. This looks pretty awesome actually. Has anyone tried it? How is it?
Figure of the Day has updated once again! The daily feature on figures you might have but might not-- either way, here's what you've been missing! Spanning from the original Power of the Force series of 1995 to the latest of The Vintage Collection, it's almost like a history lesson!

Review: Mattel Masters of the Universe Classics Megator
Something new every day-- unless it's old! Our exciting non-Star WarsFigure of the Day continues for you lucky people! Is there anything we won't cover in this column? Probably not!
Giant! The Mattel Masters of the Universe Classics Megator was one of the first figures to try a "secret" accessory out with an alternate, undead zombie head. So read on, read our Star Wars one too, and come back soon for more!
Based on the toy: BotCon gets Obsidian! The Cybertronian general is here to fight... someone. Either he'll be an Autobot or not-o-bot and I guess we'll see.
Nice! Maisto Sons of Anarchy motorcycles look pretty great, and are a new addition to their license library. Check 'em out! There's also a large transforming vehicle to robot called Twist N Shoot.
He's back! Hasbro Ultimate Spider-Man reboots the character post-movie with a line focusing on a mix of comic-inspired toys and the Disney XD cartoon. Dozens of new items were shown with a fairly robust launch, focusing on Fighter Pods, Action Figures, Super Hero Adventures, and other offerings in the middle. Not much was shown for adult collectors specifically, but there's so much to like here that I can't imagine anyone not finding something to like. I did.
They really do care! Formerly at Kenner and Play-Along and other toymakers, the Hasbro Care Bears Plush and Figure Line has old-school and newly styled versions of the greeting card characters in numerous formats for the new year. You might even have seen them in stores by now
I surround myself with nothing but robots! LEGO Mindstorms have been revised once again, including multiple upgrades to the sensors while dumbing the basic set down so people can make something in less than a week. So this isn't a bad starter kit. Be sure to check out the demo video where a nice fellow showed us about two minutes worth of stuff for the kit!
Pushing along Hasbro's agenda to make a lifelike Muppet without the need for a puppeteer is Big Hugs Elmo. It's loaded with motion sensors and voice samples and animatronics, but let's let the nice demo lady show you what it can do.
Amazing! Nifty. Probably in a store near you in September or October
This week's batch on the DSiWare Shop: 3DS eShop games include Viking Invasion 2 - Tower Defense and Picdun 2: Witch's Curse plus the full retail game Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan.
Also up for the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console: Yoshi for $3.99, and it's a classic NES game. I liked it on the old B&W GameBoy back in the day.
You saw the toys, now see more! First up, check out this swell Power Lords Art Gallery with Wayne Barlowe originals plus fan submissions from Toypocalypse. Good stuff all around, plus there are a few custom figures in here.
Get a sense of history with the Power Lords Vintage Gallery. This features vintage 1980s action figures, board games, Halloween costumes, and a few other goodies.
And that wraps up our Toypocalypse coverage of new Four Horsemen stuff! More Toy Fair stuff is in the queue, because well, we took a lot of pictures.
Mezco Toyz captured Axe Cop action figures, which will tie in nicely to Fox' new animation block and the existing comics from the most dynamic brother team ever, Ethan Nicolle (age 29) and Malachai Nicolle (age 5.)
It's pretty spectacularly ridiculous, and as such you should check it out.
LEGO showed off some new LEGO Games at New York Toy Fair 2013! Licenses this time around include Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, Batman, and Legeds of Chima.
Micro-figures are included, which are like Mini-Figures, but lack things like arms or legs. It's a start.
We've added a whole spread of videos to our YouTube page, and many of them will be spritzed throughout the coverage. But you can also look right at them here.
There was a party in TT Underground, the basement of Toy Tokyo. It looks a lot like this. Cake, open bar, appetizers, and lots of toy collectors.
Be sure to send in your questions for the next thrilling update!

BanDai has a big push for Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures which actually has a fairly sizable line of toys, some of which we demo in the video below.
Spinning toys, talking toys, and... well, don't let me spoil it for you. You really need to see this.
More BanDai! (But not too much more.) We finish our look at the BanDai Toy Fair Showroom with three more lines today.
From left to right: a new Star Trek trading card game, the iPhone friendly TechPet, and the LBX line-up of customizable robot kit figures. Think Gundam, but cheaper and simpler... with a cartoon show that's nakedly commercial as they come. The tiny robots are owned by kids and technically life-sized.
This also features the $6 3 3/4-inch assortment, in addition to more articulated and more expensive figures like The Leader and Red Skull. Check it out!

Clear blue! The Hasbro Ultimate Spider-Man Night Mission Spider-Man Action Figure just came out and most of you already passed on it. As a toy or collectible, it's weird. But as a 1970s-inspired, Micronauts/Adventure People-esque toy it's actually quite beautiful. So read on, read our B-Daman one too, and come back soon for more!
Figure of the Day has updated once again! The daily feature on figures you might have but might not-- either way, here's what you've been missing! Spanning from the original Power of the Force series of 2695 to the latest of The Vintage Collection, it's almost like a history lesson!
Today we look at Clone Trooper Sinker. It's a late 2012 release and entirely possibly part of the back chunk of the animated line. Go to Figure of the Day for the next update, with the latest installment in our ongoing series!
If you haven't already, also check out another installment Galactic Hunter Video Theater in which we look at whatever the last thing I posted about was!
If you haven't seen it, hey, why not watch it now? This video is a new animated Portal Sentry Turret from the Portal game series. It's worth checking out, as it's pretty adorable/murdery.
You probably have someone in your life who would just go nuts over this, so do share it with your friends.
Put the "go" into "Ninjago!" LEGO Ninjago at New York Toy Fair 2013 basically wraps up the line with a much smaller offering, most of which you should be able to easily find in a store near you right now.
Still continuing on TV and at better toy stores near you are Bif Bang Pow! Dexter Action Figures, now in 8-inch classic Mego-styling as well as new shirts on the existing 3 3/4-inch bodies.
A blood slide case, lunch box, and a few other items were also shown. Check 'em out.
Marble blasters! Hasbro B-Daman Action Figures are getting another shot at life, after having come out a few years ago. The action/battle/game market has expanded thanks to Beyblade, although it remains to be seen if kids want another shot at these.

These guy also make the "My Other Car Is a TARDIS" license plate frames for your car, one of which I actually saw out on the road the other night here in Phoenix.
The big departure this year is that the tops are topped by a figure - arms, legs, a torso, and a head may be added to the new releases, which is a real departure from the norm.
Excelsior! Hasbro Marvel Action Figures have a lot in store, but some expected items were not on display. New 6-inch and 3 3/4-inch figures were shown alongside new mini 2-inch figures which will be available at smaller stores and online accounts.
With so many Marvel movies on deck, it's no surprise the comic-based lines will pull heavily from Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Wolverine's worlds. Check out the new figures below.
