Amazon had a bunch of price drops over the weekend. Some were Prime-only, some are probably temporary, but the thing is the stuff is getting cheaper.
The Trout Mask Replica is $14.99 (price for Prime only), Sun Zoom Spark is a couple of bucks above $50 but has been changing. Slog was about $26.31 at press time. If the prices got better, go get some.

Also Sighted: Transformers "Dollar Store" 2015 Figures
I was out and about and did what many have done before - I spotted Transformers Generations Legends Cliffjumper at a Phoenix-area Family Dollar, where they're $6.75. This assortment is significantly cheaper at other alternative chains, but selection varies wildly and the other channels like Dollar General and Fred's may not be on your normal toy hunting route. As such, good hunting - and keep an eye open for new Ultra Magnus and Skywarp in addition to returning favorites Bumblebee and Grimlock.

Via Gizmodo: KRE-O's Transformers Class of 1985 Includes Grimlock and Devastator. It is Hasbro's latest box of Kreons, this time focusing on year two of the original line. It is not hyperbolic to call this "kind of a big deal." This site was originally founded to showcase video game licensed merchandise before it came too hard and fast to keep up with, with work starting off with the Final Fantasy VII action figures in 1997 being an early inspiration for it. So this Final Fantasy VII Remake Announced For PS4, Other Platforms story from Kotaku out of E3 reminds me of just how much time has passed, and of the inevitable "it wasn't that good *pout*" reaction you're no doubt reading elsewhere. It was a huge deal as far as gaming in the USA (and worldwide) went as it showed a significant change in the major players in the world of video games, and despite it being what it is it was fun to play.
Granted, it also ushered in an era of sequels to sequels, lots of merchandise, remakes, animated shorts, and more, but it's not like every other genre of fan culture isn't offering such things to us. Also Shenmue 3 is on Kickstarter, and looks like it'll make it.

New to the Playstation 4 this week: Transformers Devastation was one of several titles announced, and this one happens to be multi-platform. Eagle-eyed fans may have seen the pre-order page last weekend, and there are some pretty neat cannon fodder villains in the form of recolored Blackjacks and Ramjets. But will there be toys? We hope so!
So far it's coming to PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC

Via TFW2005: Tokyo Toy Show Floor Images Takara Fembots, Masterpieces, Unite Warriors, & More! Included are the first painted images of Slipstream, Nightbird, and Blackarachnia plus a bunch of others. Groove is visible as a deluxe leg mold, fully painted. I think the US Defensor deco might be better. Nightbird's hands seem to be the same as the US Arcee release at this stage, with yellow weapons and the accursed hand "lip" preventing it from holding the weapons well.

Via the Adam16bit Tumblr and more: Transformers Hasbro BotCon 2015 Official Reveals. There are many. A Combiner Wars group based on Sky Lynx was the biggest (and possibly only) real surprise, while the others were rumored-to-the-point-of-confirmation over the last few weeks. Good stuff, though.
Combiner Wars and Unite Warriors
Devastator - three versions are coming. Hasbro has two due soon - a mass-retail release and a Comic-Con release. Japan has a version that takes the best of both for December. It includes bonus individual weapons for all six Constructicons, jointed elbows on all six robots, and a head with a rotating visor/eye piece so you can customize how he looks as Devastator. Price TBD.
Leader-class Toys - Skywarp and Starscream are coming, the latter has a crown. No new molds were shown.
Voyager-class Toys - Sky Lynx is the new mold and biggest surprise, followed by Onslaught and Battle Core Optimus Prime. BCOP should be out in the next month or two, while the others are 2016 releases. Of note, Onslaught may be available in two colors - Hasbro mentioned the Bruticus toys would be sold in both animation and original toy colors via a running change. This is very notable in that intentional running deco changes have been exceedingly scarce across Hasbro's lines (outside of Marvel) since their restructuring a few years ago. It's worth noting Onslaught is a reshelled Hot Spot.
Deluxe-class Toys - Limbs for Bruticus will join 1984 Autobots as deluxe limbs. Other than the all-new Brawl, these all reuse engineering but some are reshelled and some have new heads. Hound and Swindle are both retoolings of Rook. Blast-Off is a redecorated Quickslinger. Vortex is the Alpha Bravo/Blades mold. Prowl is Streetwise with a new head, and Prowl gets a redeco as Smokescreen. Wheeljack is a reshelled Brakedown. Mirage is a redeco of Dragstrip with a new head. Trailbreaker - not Trailcutter - is a redeco of Offroad with a new head, as is Ironhide. Sunstreaker is a Brakedown redeco with a new head. There is no sign (and so far, no word) of Deluxe Groove.
Legends-class Toys - Wreck-Gar is a retooled Groove, Skywarp is a redeco jet, Rodimus is a retooled Blackjack, Buzzsaw is new, Pipes is a redeco of Huffer, Shockwave is new, and Chopshow is Skrapnel with new deco and a new head.
Masterpiece (Japan only so far)
Optimus Primal (Beast Convoy) - will happen. Beast mode shown this past weekend.
Ironhide - will happen, MP-27.
Titan Wars
Previewed by wallpaper in the Hasbro booth, this 2016 line will incorporate Fortress Maximus as well as a new space shuttle toy and what appears to be Headmasters Blaster. No toys were shown or mentioned, it is possible this was a sneak peek or someone sent the wrong sign file to Kinko's.
Robots in Disguise
A line of Toys R Us exclusives have already hit in Australia but seemingly no mention was made at the show. A 5-step Galvatronus and a series of "Cyberverse"-sized 2-packs are known so far.
Legion Class - Night Ops Bumblebee and Alpine Sideswipe. Other new figures were not shown nor discussed.
Warrior Class - Gold Armor (G1) Grimlock and Night Ops Bumblebee.

We got a sample of the Combiner Hunters boxed set in the mail - no comic, just the toys. They're very nice - surprisingly there were bios for each of the three new swords.
Windblade's Spectrospear gives her the power of invsibility - a spectral form. The Primeon Blade of Chromia is just a fancy sword. Arcee's Combiner Slayer has poison teeth. Each figure can hold their weapon with minimal fuss, but there's no on-vehicle storage and there's no easy way to cram these in Combiner hands.
The box itself has a big wrap-around that slides off to reveal a window box inside. Arcee includes the 2 blue swords but her guns from the pink release are gone. The hands are now 5mm compatible, but she can hold her blue swords. It's awkward, but not as bad as the ³lipped² hands from the previous release. I'm easily able to get her to balance with the giant sword, but careful posing is required thanks to the shoulder joints and gravity. Haven't transformed yet.
Chrmoia has a great paint job and her gun. Her new sword would be the greatest thing ever for Metroplex if the new one were a bit shorter. She can double-hand the sword with zero problem and I got her standing the first time I tried - nice work, Hasbro! The sword is gorgeous, just like Arcee's. Except Chromia has ³kill marks² of Devastator's chest piece, plus red and silver. Beautiful. Pistol still included. Her eyes are painted blue, a huge improvement from the original. Haven't transformed yet.
Windblade rounds out the set with a big stick. It's a nice stick. She can hold it with zero problems - I question your ability to deserve toys if you can't get her to hold it. Her fan is now clear orange, her sword is clear blue. The deco on the figure is wonderful from her bright eyes to stunning paint all over. There's a lot of gold and there are some black and red Linus Stripes on her chest.
